ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — North Carolina Zoo conservationists are working to save the Hellbender, a species of salamander, in western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene. Shannon Smith visited the North Carolina Zoo on Friday to learn how conservationists are helping to save the species.
