BATON ROUGE mdash; The East Baton Rouge Parish Schools Magnet Programs' Magnet Mania 2026 is coming up, with parents invited to explore the district's magnet programs.The event will be held Oct. 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Louisiana Art and Science Museum in downtown Baton Rouge.nbsp;The free ev ent allows parents to explore the programs' themes, as well as student performances and demonstrations. Programs range from STEM, visual and performing arts, Montessori education, world languages, broadcast communications, digital media, engineering, health sciences and advanced academics.Families attending Magnet Mania will also have the chance to win a magnet seat at the eligible school of their choice for the 2027-28 school year.Oct. 4's event kicks off Magnet Showcase Week, which runs through Oct. 8.
