A couple and their adult son were found dead inside a Flower Mound home Wednesday after police were called to conduct a welfare check, according to Flower Mound Police. Officers were called to the home on Sunrise Circle at about 10:45 a.m. after family members asked police to check on two residen ts who had not shown up for work and could not be reached. Police entered the home and discovered three people dead inside from apparent gunshot wounds. Details about what happened remained limited Wednesday night. On Thursday, police said in a statement they believe the victims were a husband, wife and adult son and that their deaths were the result of a double murder and suicide. The investigation into the deaths is ongoing and officials have not said who they believe shot whom. Police said once the identities of the victims are confirmed by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, they will be released to the public. “We’re at the infancy of our investigation right now, so we will gather the evidence and wherever the leads take us we will follow up, but I can say there’s not a threat to the community at this time; we do believe it’s an isolated incident,” said Flower Mound Police Deputy Chief Henry Lucio on Wednesday. Detectives remained at the home nearly 12 hours after police were initially called, processing the scene for evidence.
