BATON ROUGE mdash; A federal jury ruled in favor of a Baton Rouge Police officer and the city-parish in a lawsuit tied to the department's BRAVE Cave operated by the now-disbanded BRPD Street Crimes Unit.nbsp;Jeremy Lee's lawsuit against the officers and the city says that, when he was arrested in 2023, officers kicked, punched and strip-searched him in a warehouse, and that he was hurt so badly that the parish prison wouldn't accept him unless he had treatment first at a hospital.nbsp;In August, Judge Shelly Dick dismissed all of Lee's claims against officers Matthew Wallace and Joseph Carboni, leading to the lawsuit only being filed against now-former Officer Troy Lawrence Jr.Court documents show that the jury ruled in favor of Lawrence Jr., the city of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish, with Dick saying the matter is "dismissed, with prejudice" on Thursday.Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
