The Billings Police Department reports that a child was taken to the a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a vehicle near Will James Middle School.According to police, the crash happened around 7 :24 a.m. at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Rehberg Lane, where a vehicle traveling eastbound struck a child in a crosswalk.Police say that when arriving on scene, they immediately began CPR on the child until Billings Fire and AMR arrived and took over medical care.The BPD Crash Team also responded to the scene and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.Police say the roadways have since reopened and the incident remains under investigation.School officials emailed families about the incident, and said that counseling support will be available for students who witnessed the accident. ...read more read less
