INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after an 8-year-old girl was found dead at a home on Indianapolis’ near east side Wednesday morning. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers went to the 700 block of South Bancroft Street, near Emerson Avenue and B rookville Road, just after 7 a.m. They responded to a report of a child who was not breathing.
