RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Early voting is off to a hot start in Virginia.  Data from the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP) shows that since early voting began on Sept. 18, more than 65,000 Virginians have already cast their ballots. VPAP’s data shows that at the same time in 2022, just over 2 2,000 Virginians had voted early.  As far as which congressional districts are seeing the most early votes, just under 9,500 early votes have been cast in the 1st Congressional District, where incumbent Republican Congressman Rob Wittman is being challenged by Democratic Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor.  Virginia’s 5th and 11th congressional districts have also seen more than 7,500 early votes cast.  Early voting continues through Oct. 31.  ...read more read less
