Citrus County Sheriffs Office (CCSO) said a person of interest is a custody after a woman was found dead in the yard of a home.Sheriff David Vincent said officers were called to North Cacalia Drive in Crystal River for a welfare check. When officers arrived, they found a woman deceased in the front yard of the home.Detectives believe this is an isolated incident, but will be in the area well into the evening investigating the death.Sheriff Vincent said Tadd Lee Prowant, the person of interest, might be the last person to see the woman alive."Prowant was involved in a vehicle accident just after 9pm after leading deputies on a pursuit along Hwy 19 in Crystal River in the area of Cornflower Drive," a sheriff's office spokesperson said in a statement.Officials said he would be transported "for immediate trauma medical attention."Sheriff's office officials said no further information would be released at this time.CCSO said if you have any information, please contact our non-emergency line at 352-249-2790. ...read more read less
