HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The 22nd annual McShin Recovery Fest celebrated addiction recovery on Saturday. The event featured games, a mechanical bull, a dunk tank, raffles, guest speakers, food and access to resources like naloxone and recovery housing. "It's not only showing the people we ser ve that they can have fun in recovery, it shows the community, especially policymakers, that this rocks," Honesty Liller, CEO of the McShin Foundation said. "People that have substance use disorder or formerly used drugs or alcohol; they can change their life around and give back to the community as well." National Recovery Month is celebrated across the country in September, Liller said.
