The Park City Interfaith Council stands in solidarity with Temple Har Shalom and our entire local Jewish community following the recent vandalism of the synagogue’s sign over the weekend of Sept. 5-6. This destructive act, which occurred as our Jewish neighbors were preparing to celebrate Ro sh Hashanah, is an offense against not only the congregation but the values of our entire town. Park City is a community that deeply loves and supports one another. An attack on a sacred space for any faith is an attack on all of us. As a council representing diverse spiritual traditions, we reject hatred, bigotry and antisemitism in all its forms. No one in our community should ever have to go to their place of worship feeling afraid. We ask you, our fellow residents, to stand with us. Let us continue to show love, support and vigilance, ensuring that our town remains a safe and welcoming home for people of all faiths and backgrounds.
