A 15-year-old girl was killed Friday night and a 13-year-old was injured after they were struck by a private garbage truck in the East Village, police said. A Citi Bike was pinned underneath the garbage truck at the scene. “The police went and then tried to shake her, but she wasn’t responsive,” a witness told NBC New York. “And then, a bunch of police came in. They pulled her and then they pulled that person out and they gave that person CPR (for) about 10 minutes. The scene remained active late Friday as detectives continued examining evidence and traffic grew.
