A 15-year-old girl was killed Friday night and a 13-year-old was injured after they were struck by a private garbage truck in the East Village, police said. A Citi Bike was pinned underneath the garbage truck at the scene. “The police went and then tried to shake her, but she wasn’t responsive,” a witness told NBC New York. “And then, a bunch of police came in. They pulled her and then they pulled that person out and they gave that person CPR (for) about 10 minutes.
