Ohio elections boards say mailin voting will stay largely the same this fall after a U.S. Supreme Court decision. The ruling declined to let the U.S. Postal Service intercede in mailin ballots before the Nov. 3 midterm elections. Officials said the order could have forced complex changes to ballot e
nvelopes and voter lists. Antone White, director of the Franklin County Board of Elections, said the guidelines would have been near impossible to implement before the election. Jen Miller, executive director of the League of Women Voters of Ohio, said absentee voting is critical for democracy, and voters in Ohio should not notice much change. County officials said their elections are safe, secure and accurate, and the process is remaining status quo.
