Ad spending is surging in Ohio's U.S. Senate race, where campaigns and outside groups have already reserved more than $241 million in TV, radio and mailed ads. That figure climbs to nearly $300 million with digital advertising included, and the race between Jon Husted and Sherrod Brown is being watc hed as a tossup. Ads have targeted House Bill 6, data centers, immigration and transgender athletes, while a super PAC backed by President Donald Trump is also pouring money in. Brown's 2024 race against Bernie Moreno reached $483.4 million, setting a spending record for nonpresidential contests.
