RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Armenian Food Festival is set to return to Richmond for its 66th year of food, music, culture and dance this weekend. The festival will run from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19, at St. James Armenian Church, located at 834 Pepper Ave. T he festival will kick off each day at 11:30 a.m. when the food tents open for service. Featured items include kebabs, hummus with pita, pilaf and desserts such as paklava and apricot cookies. Music by Hooshere and the VA Rounks begins at noon on both days and continues on and off throughout the evening. The first folk dance showcase featuring Anoush Dzaghig begins at 6 p.m., with another showcase scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The festival concludes at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
