It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to an incredible woman, Claudia Moody.  She may be gone, but her memory, love, and legacy will live on in our hearts. Claudia left this world on September 11, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Ogden, Utah. Born in Bad Kreuznach, G ermany on November 19, 1958, she grew up in the  village of Sponheim, where her love for life and adventure began. After earning her degree in Early Childhood Development from Goethe Universität, she met her soulmate, John, an American expat, and they tied the knot in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1986. Together, they embarked on an incrediable journey, moving with their three children to Park City, Utah in 2001, where Claudia’s heart filled with love for the mountains and the great outdoors.  She spent her days hiking, walking, and exploring the nature around her, always seeking new experiences and making unforgettable memories with her famiy. From Merano, Italy, to Victoria, B.C., Claudia’s love for travel took her to some of the most beautiful destinations on earth. Throughout her life, Claudia’s passion and dedication to her career in teaching children inspired countless young minds. Her family was her rock, and she cherished every moment with her husband, John, children, Martin, Melissa, and Pauline, and her precious grandchildren, LyLou, Toula Mae, and Anthony. Her siblings, Brigitte Meyer and Wolfgang Meyer of Germany, also remain. Claudia’s love, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of everyone she met, and her absence will be deeply felt. Rest in peace, dear Claudia.  Your love will be forever in our hearts. Preceded in death by her parents, Claudia will be laid to rest in the historic Klosterfriedhof of Sponheim, Germany. A Celebration of Life will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, on September 19, 2026 at 1:00 P.M.
