Police are searching for two suspects who they say broke into a Trenton barbershop early Monday, Sept. 14, and stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Surveillance video exclusively shared with NBC10 from Los Primos Barbershop on Woodland Street shows one suspect smashing through the glass front door and forcing his way inside, according to police. A second man wearing a hoodie follows him into the business. The video shows the first suspect heading to the cash register and searching through it before moving from station to station and taking items. The second man is also seen grabbing items. Police said the burglary happened around 1 a.m. Monday. Raven Rodriguez, the owner of Los Primos Barbershop, told NBC10 the suspects stole between $3,000 and $4,000 worth of barbershop equipment and caused about $1,000 in damage. Rodriguez said he was home when police arrived at his door to tell him his business had been burglarized. He rushed to the barbershop and reviewed the surveillance video. He said he recognized someone in the footage and believes the burglary may have been an inside job. Because of the damage to the front door, Rodriguez said he spent the night inside the barbershop because he was worried someone else could get inside. Rodriguez said he is now leaving the investigation to Trenton police and hopes the surveillance footage will help detectives identify and arrest the two suspects.
