(KRON) -- A Tracy High School teacher was arrested for allegedly filming students in the locker room, Tracy Police officials said. Wednesday evening, a parent contacted the Tracy Police Patrol Officers after learning that some students found a cell phone recording of them changing in the locker roo m. The students deleted the recording and gave the phone to a teacher, officials said. Police determined the phone belonged to 48-year-old teacher Jeffrey Pribble. Pribble was arrested Friday and placed on leave from the school pending the investigation. Tracy Police Chief Sekou Millington applauded the students for taking action. “Our children deserve to feel safe at school and in every space where they should be able to learn, grow, and simply be kids,” Millington said in a statement. "We are grateful to the students who brought this incident to the attention of adults and to the officers and detectives who acted quickly to investigate.”  The investigation is ongoing.
