BATON ROUGE - Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers got on the board first against Louisiana Tech on Saturday night in Death Valley.After going three-and-out on their opening possession, quarterback Sam Leavitt drove LSU inside the Louisiana Tech 10-yard line on the Tigers' second possession. LSU was forc ed to settle for three, with placekicker Scott Starzyk connecting on a 29-yard field goal to give the Tigers an early 3-0 lead.Louisiana Tech went three-and-out on the ensuing drive, and LSU's Eugene Wilson III returned the punt 27 yards to the Tech 44-yard line to give the Tigers great field position.On the first play from scrimmage, receiver Jackson Harris hauled in a 42-yard pass from Leavitt to set LSU up inside the two-yard line.
