BATON ROUGE mdash; Two people were arrested on Wednesday following a narcotics investigation, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.nbsp;On Sept. 9, Narcotics Detectives with the department executed a search warrant at a local business on South Choctaw Drive as part of an ongoing investiga tion.nbsp;During the course of the investigation, officers seized marijuana, a handgun, and an undisclosed amount of money. The search led to the arrest of 32-year-old Damond Williams and 47-year-old Louis Smith on drug charges.nbsp;Williams, whose criminal history includes arrests for principal to second-degree murder, domestic abuse battery, illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance and possession of schedule II, was charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule I.Smith, whose criminal history includes arrests for aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, stalking, money laundering, and several drug charges, was charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule I, possession of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.nbsp;Smith was on supervised probation at the time of his arrest.nbsp;Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
