The woman at the center of a viral video where she appears to approach a father and his child to make discriminatory remarks was arrested, San Jose police said on Friday. Police said the woman was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of stalking, hate crimes and in c onnection with other charges. Police said officers responded to a report of a hate-motivated incident in the 6400 block of Aspen Creek on Sunday. According to authorities, the suspect approached a father and his child in her vehicle multiple times and made discriminatory remarks at them. San Jose police said Automated License Plate Reader cameras were used to identify the associated vehicle and suspect. Officials said it was also discovered the suspect was responsible for various other incidents in San Jose, including an incident at a high school located in South San Jose on Wednesday. Those incidents led San Jose Unified to send out an alert to its community on Thursday, warning them of the woman and stating she has harassed members of the community, including recording videos and posting them on social media. “We want to make you aware of a situation affecting several of our school communities. We have received reports of an individual harassing members of our community, including recording videos and taking photographs, and posting content on social media,” the district wrote.
