COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Thursday, September 10, a Hopkins woman’s murder conviction was reversed and the initial trial remanded by the South Carolina Court of Appeals. According to court documents, Jamira Davis appealed her 35-year prison sentence after her legal team presented evidence of jur y tampering. In 2021, Columbia firefighters responded to a house fire on American Avenue. The body of Brandon “Boleg” Boden was found inside. It was later determined that Davis had shot and killed Boden before the fire occurred. However, Davis testified she killed the man in self-defense after he tried to sexually assault her.
