CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County is giving residents plenty of reasons to enjoy some fresh air at a late-September festival celebrating all things outdoors. The Chesterfield Outdoor Fest will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Pocahontas State Park. Resid ents can explore caverns in a cave simulator, tour the park's wilderness on ranger-guided hikes, try skimboarding and more, county leaders said. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and Friends of Pocahontas State Park will host a beer garden. A DJ, The Hot Pants and River City Band will play hits throughout Saturday afternoon. Officials said attendees can also participate in the Beaver Tail Trail 4-Miler, which begins at 8 a.m. near the park's welcome center. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
