RestoreOKC will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a free neighborhood festival Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its headquarters, 2222 NE 27th St. in northeast Oklahoma City. Called TEN(d), the celebration will feature food, vendors, interactive art and mural projects, a kids zone, farm tours and opportunities to learn more about RestoreOKC’s work in the community. At 3 p.m., RestoreOKC Co-Founder and Executive Director Caylee Dodson and Board Chair Kori Hall will lead a presentation reflecting on the organization’s first decade. Christian hip-hop artist Tedashii, a founding member of the 116 Movement, will headline with a performance at 3:30 p.m. Founded in 2016, RestoreOKC is a place-based community development organization focused on health, education, housing and employment in northeast Oklahoma City. Its work has grown to include an urban farm, social enterprises and The Market at Eastpoint, a community grocery store that opened in 2021. In recent years, RestoreOKC has received national recognition, including selection as one of 25 Purpose Built Communities Network members and participation in Harvard Graduate School of Education’s EdRedesign Lab Institute for Success Planning.
