Billboard Icon Anh Phoong Will Pay You $10K For a Good Jingle
Sep 08, 2026
Being memorable to everyone is key to getting lucrative personal-injury cases, as the Barnes Firm, Sweet James, Walkup Law, the Law Brothers, and others have shown with their ubiquitous TV advertising. Now Anh Phoong wants in on the action. You could say that billboard personal injury lawyer icon Anh
Phoong has done just fine for herself with her ten-year-old slogan, "Something Wrong? Call Anh Phoong." By way of other marketing efforts, Phoong has also sponsored a basketball team and advertised on their uniforms, put out her own streetwear line last fall featuring branded hoodies and tees, and even shown up for a fake honor at a Stud party where she was definitely meant to be a campy special guest.Phoong previously, back in early 2025, held a contest for a new billboard design, which itself was clearly a marketing effort. And now, her firm is holding a contest for a fresh and catchy jingle, for which they will pay a prize of $10,000 — which probably much less than it would cost to hire someone to actually write a jingle."When Anh Phoong introduced 'Something Wrong? Call Anh Phoong' 10 years ago, it became the foundation of a billboard campaign that would eventually reach communities throughout Northern California, Southern California, and beyond," the firm says. "The slogan has since inspired social media posts, artwork, music, comedy, and countless conversations among people who recognize Anh from her billboards.""So many people have asked me, why don't you have a Phoong Law jingle?" Phoong herself says in the video below. "So, here is your opportunity!"
While personal injury firms like The Law Brothers and Sweet James have put themselves out there, becoming the faces of their own (albeit strange) brands, the only personal injury firm with a famous jungle is The Barnes Firm — which grew out of famed New York State law firm Cellino Barnes, which also had its own highly recognizable, earworm-wish jingle that dated back to the early 1990s.Rich Barnes, the brother of firm founder Steve Barnes, assumed the leadership of the national personal-injury firm after Steve died in a plane crash in October 2020. And the commercial jingle for the firm makes their "1-800-8 Million" phone number all the more memorable, much like Cellino Barnes number became ingrained in the consciousness of New Yorkers over decades.
So now it's Phoong Law's turn at making commercial jingle history. The firm says that contest entries "can be catchy, funny, energetic, dramatic, or completely unexpected," but they need to be memorable! And, in spite of the fact that this page of copy about the contest was itself probably written by AI, they say "Phoong Law will not accept AI-generated production products as contest entries." But how will they even know? The entries could become marketing tools are their own, because the firm is asking that in addition to filling out an official entry firm, songwriters must post their jingle as a Reel to Instagram, and tag @phoonglaw. And all entries have to be in by October 2, 2026.Previously: Anh Phoong Now Selling Official T-Shirts and Hoodies, If You Absolutely Must Have One
