Chicago Fire Department personnel found a person dead on the Chicago Transit Authority Red Line tracks near 69th Street on the South Side Monday afternoon, officials said.A spokesman said an individual was found dead when they responded to a call of a person on the tracks at around 2:36 p.m. CFD co uld not immediately provide additional information about the circumstances of the incident.The CTA issued an alert at 3:35 p.m. notifying riders that Red Line trains were running with major delays after a medical emergency on the tracks near 69th Street.Bus shuttles were made available from 43rd to 95th streets in both directions to supplement service in the affected areas through 4 p.m., a CTA alert said. ...read more read less
