San Diego city and county administrative offices and libraries will be closed Monday for Labor Day, although law enforcement and fire services will continue on a normal schedule. Federal and state buildings will also be closed, and there will be no mail delivery. Hospitals will remain open. According to the city of San Diego, all recreation centers and pools will be closed, along with public bathrooms in Balboa Park. Also closed for the holiday are: The Development Services Department; The Personnel Department’s Employment Information Center and Testing and Background/Fingerprinting office; and Your Safe Place – A Family Justice Center. Online services will be available for city residents who want to make payments, request code enforcement investigations or schedule inspections. City reservoirs, Chollas Lake, Mission Trails Regional Park and its Visitors Center will be open Monday. However, Tecolote Nature Center will be closed. Skate parks, plazas and Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track will be open. The city will enforce red-, blue- and white-marked parking zones Monday, but won’t enforce: Parking meters; Time restrictions for street parking; Yellow-marked zones; and Posted street-sweeping routes. City trash and recyclables pickup will be delayed one day. County animal shelters and public health centers will be closed. While county parks, campgrounds and day-use parks will be open Monday, these facilities will be closed: Adams Park Pool; 4S Ranch Recreation Office; Fallbrook Community Center, and Lakeside and Spring Valley community centers and teen centers; Spring Valley Gymnasium; and Valley Center Community Hall. Residents may make camping reservations at county facilities online. However, the Department of Parks and Recreation’s phone line will not be available. All San Diego city and county offices will resume normal business hours Tuesday.
