SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Monday will be the last mild day before a warm-up over the next few days. Temperatures will be as hot as the triple digits inland through the middle of the week.  Labor Day skies will be sunny and dry for Northern California as Southern California rainfall seen yesterday i nto this morning begins to wind down. This weekend, things will cool back down quickly with another mild and comfortable weekend on tap. The National Weather Service is warning of a warming trend that will build across the Bay Area and Central Coast through the latter part of the week. Heat is expected to peak on Wednesday with interior valleys could hit, or exceed 100 degrees. Coastal areas will stay cooler, the NWS said, but could still hit the 80s. Even San Francisco could top 80 on Wednesday. The highest temps are expected in Concord, which could hit 102 Wednesday, and Gilroy, which could hit 103.
