One person was killed and two others were seriously injured Saturday in a single-car crash in Barrio Logan. Officers with the San Diego Police Department responded shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday to the 2500 block of East Harbor Drive, where three people were ejected from a speeding, 2018 Dodge Cha rger driven by a suspected drunk driver, according to Officer David O’Brien. “The Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed. For an unknown reason the Charger veered to the right and collided with a parked Kia vehicle and multiple fixed objects,” O’Brien said. “All three occupants of the Charger were ejected.” All three people in the car were taken to a hospital, where one of them died. It was not clear where each one was seated in the car. “Occupant One sustained an amputation of the right foot and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Occupant Two sustained an amputated right foot, as well as multiple burns, abrasions and lacerations. Occupant Three sustained severe head trauma which was classified as life-threatening,” O’Brien said. DUI is suspected, he added. The vehicle was traveling eastbound at the time of the crash.
