Servings: 40 servings Author: William Lyons, owner/chef, Papa What You Cooking in Downtown Reno Ingred ients2 cups honey½ cup brown sugar2 tablespoons butter¼ cup Crystal hot sauce1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar1 teaspoon smoked paprika1 teaspoon cayenne pepper1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes½ teaspoon garlic powder½ teaspoon onion powder½ teaspoon black pepperPinch of salt InstructionsIn a saucepan over low heat, combine honey and brown sugar. Stir in butter until completely melted. Add hot sauce, vinegar, paprika, cayenne, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Simmer on low for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often. Do not boil.Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes so the peppers infuse the honey. Strain if you want a smooth finish or leave the pepper flakes for extra heat and texture. Bottle and refrigerate after cooling.
