(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Sept. 5)–Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) this week announced that portions of two streets will close beginning Tuesday, September 8. The closures are as follows: “A” Street between 56th Street and Eldon Drive will have intermittent westbound lane closures for utility work, with traffic shifted to the common left turn lane. This work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, September 25. Northbound Touzalin Avenue between Adams and Knox streets will close for utility work. This work is expected to be completed by Thursday, September 10. The recommended route is Adams Street to 70th Street to Fremont Street. Access to homes in the area will be maintained. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
