SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The National Weather Service is warning of hazardous beach conditions beginning Friday and lasting through the holiday weekend. There will be an increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip currents from Friday morning through Monday evening, the NWS said. Graphic: NWS The weather service is advising people who do hit the beach this weekend to stay out of the water "to avoid hazardous surf." Additionally, the NWS said to stay off jetties, piers, rocks and other waterside infrastructure.
