(Opinion) Faced with criticism this week, Yale University and the Elicker Administration responded — by proving the critics right.  Hundreds of alums, students and protesters gathered in an open yard to protest Yale’s clampdowns on free assembly and debate. Yale responded by trying to block reports from covering the event. Meanwhile, members of the Board of Alders Education Committee issued a statement noting that schools are reopening with leaks and mold and other hazards that city officials have long failed to address. The alders asked for an accounting and a plan to catch up. The mayor and his schools chief responded by — denying a problem exists and criticizing the alders for asking questions.
