A woman, who was with her two-year-old daughter, was injured on Thursday night after a bullet went through the front door of her West Philly home, police say. According to Philadelphia Police Department Chief Inspector Scott Small, officers responded to a reported shooting along the 4900 block of Aspen Street in West Philly at about 9 p.m. on Thursday to find a 24-year-old woman who had been shot in the leg. The woman, he said, was taken to a nearby hospital were she was listed in stable condition. In an interview with investigators, the victim said she believed her boyfriend had fired a shot through the front door of the home. The victim’s two-year-old daughter, Small said, was unhurt in this incident. At the scene, investigators discovered a bullet hole in the front door of the home along with blood in the living room. As of about 6 a.m., police had not announced an arrest in this case. But, Small said, officers were working to locate suspect believed to be responsible for the shooting.
