MUNCIE, Ind. (WRTV) -- A pipe near Ball State University's Teachers College burst Thursday evening, causing parts of the sidewalk to collapse.It was caused by a leak in the university's geothermal heating and cooling system. BSU sent a statement out Wednesday saying to expect an air conditioning outage in most buildings on campus."Wednesday evening, our University experienced a leak in the geothermal heating and cooling system that resulted in a campus-wide chilled water outage," the university said in the statement.BSU has not yet released a statement about the burst pipe.Indiana is in the midst of a heat wave.
