Tropical Storm Edouard came ashore Tuesday afternoon as a strong tropical storm on the southwest Louisiana coast.At landfall, the storm had maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, making it a strong tropical storm. Flash flooding was possible in the affected areas.Storm surge of one to three feet was forecast for parts of the affected coast.Tropical Storm Edouard is the fifth named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season.
