ing weekend will return to the Sunshine State on Nov. 12-14, 2027. The announcement comes as Homestead-Miami Speedway unveils a transformational $20 million renovation to open this fall, designed to elevate the championship experience for fans, featuring a new primary entry gate experience, a remodeled Ally Champions Club, an expanded fan zone and more.
Next year’s Championship Weekend edition will mark back-to-back years the South Florida facility hosts NASCAR’s season-ending title battles. The upcoming 2026 NASCAR Championship Weekend (Nov. 6-8) marks the return of the season finale celebration following a six-year absence as from 2020 to 2025, NASCAR Championship Weekend was held at Phoenix Raceway. Previously, Homestead-Miami Speedway hosted the Championship Weekend for 18 consecutive years – from 2002 to 2019.
“The South Florida community is thrilled to once again be the home for NASCAR Championship Weekend in 2026 and 2027, as next year will be the Speedway’s 20th time doing so,” said Guillermo Santa Cruz, Homestead-Miami Speedway president. “The excitement, drama, and energy surrounding the championship brings tremendous visibility, economic impact, and engagement to our community, while showcasing what Homestead-Miami Speedway can offer as a premier destination for major events.”
Dates for the 2027 NASCAR Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway are:
Friday, Nov. 12 – NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series
Saturday, Nov. 13 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series
Sunday, Nov. 14 – NASCAR Cup Series
Fans at this year’s return of NASCAR Championship Weekend will experience a $20 million renovation project at Homestead-Miami Speedway that will certainly add to their championship experience.
The capital investment project will feature a new primary gate entry experience, a comprehensive renovation of the Ally Champions Club, an expanded fan zone footprint and additional aesthetic and operational improvements designed to support NASCAR Championship Weekend and reinforce the facility as a premier destination venue.
“Homestead-Miami Speedway has a rich history of delivering some of the most memorable championship moments in our sport, and this investment will ensure the venue is positioned for its next era of championship racing,” said Ben Kennedy, chief operating officer, NASCAR.
“As we continue with our NASCAR Championship rotating model, it is important that our marquee facilities continue to innovate and provide best-in-class experiences for our fans. These enhancements will elevate the fan experience while reinforcing Homestead-Miami Speedway’s status as a championship-caliber destination.”
The project’s centerpiece will be a new primary gate entry experience designed to modernize fan arrival and enhance ingress operations, creating a more seamless experience from the moment guests arrive at the facility.
The expanded fan zone footprint will accommodate additional fan activations and food and beverage offerings, creating a more engaging atmosphere while improving the guest experience throughout the venue.
Additionally, the renovated Ally Champions Club will feature upgraded hospitality amenities, premium viewing opportunities, enhanced food and beverage offerings and modernized interior design elements inspired by South Florida and championship racing.
