The Oregon State Fair opened Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, in Salem, bringing livestock shows, carnival rides, food vendors and performances to the Oregon State Fairgrounds. Throughout the day, exhibitors young and old prepared and showed animals, fairgoers took to the rides and performers entertained crow ds across the fairgrounds. The fair also brought together longtime participants and newcomers, from livestock exhibitors and craftspeople demonstrating their work to families spending the day exploring.
