A woman died after a hit-and-run crash in a parking lot in Milpitas Friday, according to the police department. Police said the crash was reported just after noon in the parking lot of Mill Creek Apartments, located at 440 Dixon Landing Road. Officials said witnesses reported seeing a blue SUV le aving the area immediately after the incident. Authorities said responding officers found a woman who had sustained significant injuries as a result of the crash. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. When searching the surrounding area, police said they found a blue SUV matching the witnesses’ description in a nearby parking lot. The vehicle also had significant damage consistent with being involved in a crash, according to authorities.
