It will likely come as no surprise to college students that earning a technology-related degree will maximize one’s career salary in the Bay Area. The HEA Group, a higher education policy organization, released a study in which it estimated the average salary in California for students with var ious bachelor’s degrees. Topping the list was math and computer science. The study found that students can expect to pull in close to $140,000 in the first few years out of college. Computer engineering checked in at No. 2 ($125,120), followed by nursing at No. 3 ($123,693). Computer science ($123,528) and general engineering ($117,199) rounded out the top five.
