Aug. 22, 2026: The City of Pierre is advising people to stay out of marked areas along Island View Drive near the American Legion following recent heavy rainfall. The recent rainfall has resulted in an unsafe surface within the marked areas along Island View Drive. For the safety of all, the City asks the public to obey all markings, barricades and signage and avoid entering or disturbing these areas.
