WESTFIELD, Ind. The Westfield Police Department is searching for two suspects who fled from a domestic disturbance involving a 16-year-old girl Friday morning.The department alerted the public to police activity at the Casey Ac res Apartments on social media around 6:30 a.m. and warned residents to avoid the area.About an hour later, they said the investigation in the neighborhood was over.In an update, police said they were called to the area around 3:41 a.m. after a 16-year-old was battered with a blunt object and was hospitalized with significant injuries to her head and face.Police said the mother of the victim told officers she confronted the suspect, who brandished a gun. The mother then retreated to her own apartment and called police.During the investigation, police learned a male in the apartment had a felony warrant for gun charges out of Marion County.Police tried to make contact with anyone inside the apartment but no one answered. Knowing that a female inside was possibly armed, officers established a perimeter and requested the Noblesville/Westfield Emergency Services Unit (ESU).The ESU team entered the apartment and no one was located. Police said officers found an open window on the second floor with a torn screen.Police believe a male and female fled the apartment before officers set up the perimeter.The two suspect were identified as Markeyzus Dean and Tyanna Bonds.Anyone with information on the two individuals is asked to call the Westfield Police Department at 317-804-3200.Police said there is no threat to the public. ...read more read less
