BATON ROUGE mdash; A family is grieving after Baton Rouge police say 54-year-old Faun Reese was found dead inside her home on Cypress Avenue.Homicide detectives found Reese with possible stab injuries on Tuesday. Police say no arrests have been announced and the investigation is ongoing.A second pe rson was inside the home at the time. Police say that person is in the hospital in serious condition and is considered a suspect in the case.Reese's father says family members suspected abuse and that her boyfriend was controlling. He says the family had urged her repeatedly to go to the police before her death."I got emotional this morning. I was doing all right. It just got hard," Reese's father, Ronnie, said."My brother told me tell her, you need to report that to the police and which she never did."Patty Joy Freeman, executive director of the Iris Domestic Violence Center, says anyone who feels unsafe in a relationship does not have to wait to seek help."If you're feeling like you don't have support right now, I want you to call our crisis line," said Freeman. "That's where support begins and where immediate action takes place. There's a way to walk away. There's always a way to walk away."Baton Rouge police are still investigating.
