COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A new statewide network is ensuring some South Carolina schools are not lost to history. Thursday morning, August 27, the Central Carolina Community Foundation and USC’s Center for Civil Rights History and Research announced the launch of the South Carolina Historic Bla ck Schools Preservation Network. Organizers say the group will celebrate and preserve the legacy of the schools where young minds were educated prior to desegregation.
