Bridgeport police have identified the man who was found dead in Bunnell’s Pond at Beardsley Park over the weekend. Police said 38-year-old Stephen Hall, a resident of the city, was reported missing by his family on August 7. A Silver Alert was issued and detectives worked on trying to find him , police said. Sunday afternoon, just over two weeks later, fishermen reported seeing an unresponsive body in a remote area of the pond. Through DNA testing, officials confirmed it was Hall who was found in the pond. An autopsy was also performed on Monday at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, but officials have not yet determined Hall’s cause of death.
