A man has been charged in a deadly shooting that occurred more than 18 years ago in San Francisco, prosecutors said Thursday.
Derreyl Chase Goode, 40, was charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in April 2008. He also faces an allegation that he used a firearm in the
commission of the murder, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
According to court documents, on April 27, 2008, San Francisco officers responded to 520 Fulton St. regarding a shooting. They found a victim lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to the face.
Witnesses alleged Goode was seen standing over the victim as the victim’s body hit the ground. The victim was later identified by the San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office as 28-year-old Jason Mosley.
“After a substantial investigation by SFPD, Mr. Goode was arrested,” the department said.
Goode was expected to be arraigned Thursday morning.
