Architect Paul Murdoch designed the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa., honoring the 40 passengers and crew members who died on Sept. 11, 2001. Chosen from 1,100 entries in September 2005, Murdoch's Los Angeles firm designed the memorial around the flight path of the aircraft.
