WINNSBORO, S.C. (WOLO) – The owners of the mattress factory that burned down earlier this month will shut its doors permanently, leaving hundreds of employees without a job. Healthcare SC, LLC, the owner of the MLILY Factory, filed the WARN report with SC Department of Employment and Workforc e on August 21. The report says the building will permanently close Friday, leaving 254 employees out of a job. This comes after the fire broke out on Sunday, August 16, which reignited the next day. Authorities say the fire has since been put out but the investigation continues. Fairfield County is hosting a Dislocated Job Fair on Wednesday, September 2nd from 10am-1 pm at Boykin Recreation Center, 1851 US Hwy 321 Bypass N. It’s free to attend.
