INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A few severe storms will be possible tonight. Hot temperatures make a return as we wrap up the month.
Today:
Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s by afternoon.
Storms will develop late in the day as a cold front d
rops south from the Great Lakes. The best chance for rain and storms arrives after 6 p.m.Damaging winds will be the primary concern, with small hail a possibility as well. The tornado threat is low, and mostly confined to far northern Indiana.
Tonight:
Showers and thunderstorms taper off after Midnight as the front pushes through. Quiet weather will settle in overnight leading into Thursday morning.
Tomorrow:
Canadian high pressure builds in, bringing us sunshine, comfortable temperatures, and low humidity. Highs top out in the low/mid 80s
Weekend Outlook:
Saturday:Southerly winds return, pulling warmer, more humid air back into the region. Still mostly sunny, but you’ll notice the humidity creeping back up by afternoon.
Sunday:We’re back in the heat. Temperatures climb into the upper 80s to near 90, with higher humidity making it feel more like mid-summer again.
Early Next Week:
Monday keeps the heat going with highs around 90 and muggy conditions. Storm chances are a possibility early next week, but are on the lower end. A warmer than normal trend looks to lock in for much of next week.
