Tulsa Fire Department responded to a fire at 4th Street and Owasso Avenue on Tuesday morning, CJ Maclin reports.Both Tulsa Fire Department and Tulsa Police Department responded to the fire that caused a traffic backup down to th e intersection of 4th Street and Peoria Avenue. The building was believed to have burned once before, according to a firefighter with TFD. Firefighters have not yet said what function the building served.2 News is working to learn more about the fire, check back for more information.UPDATE:Two Tulsa firefighters were rescued from a large warehouse fire near Fourth and Owasso Avenue Tuesday morning and transported to a hospital, where they are expected to be OK.The Tulsa Fire Department received a call at around 4:30 a.m. reporting the warehouse fire. Shortly after, a mayday was called when two firefighters became trapped inside.The department deployed its rapid intervention crew, which entered through one side of the building and rescued the two firefighters. Both sustained minor burns and are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.At the height of the response, 55 to 60 firefighters and 12-15 trucks were on scene. The Tulsa Police Department also responded to the scene to survey the area due to the number of homes and residents nearby.The cause of the fire has not been determined. Crews are continuing to go through the rubble to investigate what caused the warehouse to catch fire.Fire trucks were lined up from the scene all the way down to Fourth and Peoria Avenue.This story is developing.
