PONCHATOULA - Nearly 7,000 Entergy customers in Tangipahoa Parish were in the dark following Sunday's storms.nbsp;Severe thunderstorms brought strong, gusty winds to the area on Sunday afternoon, knocking out power to many residents in Ponchatoula, Hammond and Kentwood.nbsp;As of 5:30 p.m., 6,964 c ustomers in Tangipahoa Parish were out of power.
